Women's Self Defence Course

This course will focus on situations that are particularly relevant for women, and is ideal for those that prefer to train in a women-only group, with a female instructor.
The goal of these classes is to give you an introduction to some key elements of self-defence training, using the reality based self-defence system Krav Maga.
We want to build your confidence, so that you leave feeling empowered!
You will learn:
- Awareness of surroundings and "red flags"
- Managing distance and boundary-setting
- Striking effectively
- Controlled aggression and determination
- Becoming a Hard Target

COVID and distance training
In line with up to date government guidance, these classes are currently outdoors and training has been adapted to minimise any risk of COVID spread. At the moment, this includes social distancing of 2m between people. We practise striking and kicking on pads tied to trees, and any partner work is at a distance.
As we are unable to share equipment, you will need your own but we can arrange hire of this for you. (Current equipment requirements are a “melon” punch bag and gloves.)
Place and dates
The course runs for four weeks, all classes outdoors, near Holyrood Park Road.
