Gavin de Becker: The Gift of Fear

A book about the importance of gut feeling, and the ways human predators work to get close to their prey. This book has valuable information about danger signs that can alert us to potential danger, and how to deal with it.

Rory Miller: Meditations on Violence

This book isn't about a specific style of self-defence, but many of the things Rory Miller discusses are part of the principles of Krav Maga. In particular, identifying and avoiding dangerous situations, de-escalating confrontations that could become violent, and some principles for how to train in a way to transfers into self-defence skills that are usable in real life.
